Pastors Brian and Kay, his wife of 14 years, and their three children, moved to Washington D.C. in March of 2008 to serve the congregation of Word of Hope International Church. In that time the congregation has tripled in size.
Pastor Brian has served the body of Christ for many years as Pastor, Youth Pastor, Worship Pastor, & in many other areas of ministry. Pastor Brian & his wife Kay have always had a heart to see men & women, boys, & girls, of all ages, from all nationalities; races, cultures, & socio-economic backgrounds come together creating a beautiful tapestry of worship. A passionate preacher, teacher, & leader in the body of Christ; God has utilized Pastor Brian in the revitalization & planting of churches as well as an apostolic influence in the lives of ministers.
Pastor Kay serves as associate pastor, while ministering to the children of Word of Hope. She also serves on the Mid-Atlantic Conference Women’s Ministry Board.
She is an anointed woman of God who has an incredible passion for people. For the past 14 years she has ministered to people of all ages, cultures, & socio-economic backgrounds. She has led as a Pastor, Director of Outreach ministries, Children's, & Youth Pastor. Pastor Kay is also a successful business woman, owning one of Washington D.C.’s leading children’s entertainment businesses. Growing up in southwest Virginia, she was called to ministry as a teenager and quickly began leading girls in church camp.
God soon led her and her husband to Arizona to lead the youth and childrens ministries in a strategic church plant. After four years they moved back to Virginia and continued their ministry with youth as her passion for outreach emerged. She led a congregation to develop an outreach ministry which fed and clothed over 200 families each month and ministered to numerous children while providing them with much-needed school supplies, Christmas gifts and more.Pastor Kay has a burning desire to see women experience the life transforming power of God that comes through experiencing the power of His Word!
